If you do not have a Blackberry, iPhone, or Android device, you can still send DUB cards through your phone by using our text message (SMS) service!

You'll be able to see all your contacts and edit your card online at www.dubmenow.com.

Please note that standard SMS/text message charges may apply.  Though DUB is completely free, if you do not have messaging as part of your phone's service plan you can still be charged for the messages themselves.  There will be a note at the end of every message that says "Std msg chrgs apply" to make this clear.

To start using DUB through SMS text messages:

To start using DUB through SMS text messages, you will have to change a setting on DUB online at www.dubmenow.com.

1.  Go to www.dubmenow.com on your computer and click SIGN IN.  Sign in to your account.

2.  Go to the SETTINGS page.

3. Under "Notifications" choose the radio button that says "Text Messages (SMS) sent to: ".  

4.  You will receive a text to your phone from 38263 (i.e. "DUBME") that says:

"DUB will send text alerts if someone requests/accepts 

 your card. Std msg chrgs apply. Rply HELP 4 help;

STOP to quit.  Rply DUBME YES to confirm"

5.  Reply to 38263 with the text "DUBME YES" (no quotations) to confirm that you want DUB to send you text alerts to your phone if someone requests or accepts your DUB card.  You will receive a confirmation that says:

"DUB text msg alerts have been activated.  Std msg

chrgs apply.  Rply HELP 4 help; STOP to quit."

6.  You will now be receiving and sending DUB cards from your phone through SMS text messages!

Using DUB through SMS Text Messages

Once you've activated DUB SMS/text messages, you'll be able to send and receive cards through messages on your phone.  You will be able to see your contacts' information and edit your own card on your computer at www.dubmenow.com.

To send your card via text message:

Sending your card from your phone via SMS/texts is simple.

Just send a message that says "DUBME" (no quotations) and then the recipient's phone number, email address, or DUB ID to DUBEME (38263).

Example of what to send: DUBME firstlast@email.com

Receiving a card via text message:

If someone sends you a card, you'll get a text that says to reply with "A" and then a four digit code ("A" for "Accept").   To accept the card, just text the letter A and then the four digit code back to DUBME (38263).   

Once you accept the card, you will be able to see their card in your contacts by logging in to www.dubmenow.com.  

Stopping DUB messages:

If you decide you no longer want to use DUB via texts, just text the word "STOP" to DUBME (38263).  You can always reverse this by just signing up for DUB SMS text messages again as outlined above.
