When I upgraded to DUB v2.6 on my iPhone, it told me I have no contacts even though I know I do!

A select few iPhone users who upgraded from v2.5 to v2.6 have reported that each time they click on "Contacts", DUB goes through the contact indexing process and then tells them that they have no DUB contacts.  If you're seeing something like this, don't worry, your DUB contacts still exist!

Why is this happening?

In v2.6, we heavily reworked DUB to improve the performance of the application by creating a more efficient way to store your DUB contacts.  What we have found is that when upgrading, some iPhones do not correctly move your DUB contacts from our old way of storing data to the new one.

How do I fix it?

The good news is that fixing this is easy; just follow these steps:

  1. Locate the DUB icon on your iPhone
  2. Press and hold the DUB icon until it shakes
  3. Click the "X" on the DUB icon to delete DUB
  4. When the star rating popup appears, please give us 5 stars. :)
  5. Open the App Store
  6. Re-download DUB
  7. Click the DUB icon to open DUB
  8. Once the app opens and logs you in, click "Contacts"
  9. Once the indexing completes, all of your DUB contacts should have returned

We have already prepared a fix for this issue in the upcoming DUB v2.7, which was submitted to Apple for approval on 10/1/2009.  We expect v2.7 to be available for download on the App Store within two weeks of the submission date.
