My BlackBerry does not recognize the file when I try to download DUB. Help!

If you are getting an unrecognizable file format that won't open when you download DUB, or if you just plain don't see a link to download DUB when going to m.dubmenow.com on your mobile device, it could be because you are using a third party browser on your device (i.e. Opera or IE mode).

Why is this happening?

Our mobile device site (m.dubmenow.com) provides different links to download DUB based on what kind of mobile device is accessing it.  However, the website will sometimes misread the device type if a third party web browser or emulation mode is being used.  Then, it might either direct the user to download the wrong type of file  or it just won't display a link at all (if it thinks the device is not supported by DUB).

How do I fix it?

Be sure to be using your native BlackBerry browser to download DUB off m.dubmenow.com.  If you are already using the native browser, please follow these steps to make sure your settings are correct:

To check and correct the settings On a Blackberry:

  1. Open the Blackberry browser
  2. Click the Blackberry menu key
  3. Scroll down and click on Options
  4. Click on Browser Configuration
  5. Scroll down to emulation mode and make sure it says Blackberry; if not:
  6. Click the Blackberry menu key and choose Change Option
  7. Select Blackberry
  8. Click the Blackberry menu key
  9. Click Save Options.
  10. Navigate your web browser to m.dubmenow.com to get a download link and download DUB

After downloading DUB, you can change back to whatever browser you started with.
